About us

The story of Lekkco is a love of chocolate and everything Belgian. The creators of the Lekkco brand, Bram and Jennifer Bourgeois, are a dynamic couple. Bram, a native Belgian, introduced Jennifer, a native Chicagoan, to chocolate for breakfast when they were dating. Jennifer was so blown away by this delicious Belgian staple that it became a part of their breakfast, snack and is incorporated into desserts.

Fourteen year later with two beautiful daughters, chocolate is an integral part of the Bourgeois family cuisine and lifestyle. Their girls have bread and Lekkco for breakfast everyday. Bram and Jennifer also enjoy as a mid-afternoon snack at work with a coffee. The Bourgeois family shares their love of Belgian chocolate with Lekkco. Get ready to enjoy something delicious!

What’s in a name?

The name Lekkco refers to the Flemish (Dutch) word “Lekker” which means “something delicious”. Pair Lekker with chocolate, you get Lekkco!
Also, the Lekkco font is a variation of the dyslexie font. Do you know 1 in 5 students have some form of dyslexia? That’s 15%-20% of the school-age population. 70-80% of people with poor reading skills are likely dyslexic. The dyslexie font makes it easier for dyslexic individuals to read.

Helena’s Hot Chocolate

  • Servings: 1
  • 6 ounces milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon Lekkco
  • Heat 6 ounces of your milk choice in a mug. Scoop one tablespoon of Lekkco into mug. Stir until mixed well.
  • For a frothier version, put hot ingredients in blender and blend. Top with cocoa powder or marshmallows.

Olivia’s Marshmallow Madness

  • Servings: 1
  • 10 marshmallows
  • 3-4 tablespoons Lekkco
  • Toppings of choice: raspberries, coconut flakes, sprinkles
  • Looking for a quick and fun snack? Take any sized marshmallow and scoop Lekkco on top.
  • Top with fruit, coconut flakes or sprinkles!

Lekkco Mug Cakes

  • Servings: 1
  • ¼ cup flour
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Lekkco
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 tablespoons water
  • ¼ tablespoons vanilla extract
  • Mix flour, sugar, Lekkco, baking soda, and salt in microwave safe mug. Stir in milk, canola oil,
  • water and vanilla extract. Cook on high until cake is done in the middle (1 minute 45 seconds).

Lekkco Chocolate Mousse Cups

  • Servings: 6
  • 3 ounces phyllo dough pastry sheets
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup Lekkco
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • Arrange phyllo dough cups into and around the base of a cupcake tin. Cook according to directions
  • on box to create cups. While phylllo dough cups are cooking, prepare mousse filling. Whisk together
  • pudding mix with 1 cup of milk. Once combined, whisk in the Lekkco. Whisk in remaining cup of milk.
  • In a mixer bowl, whip whipping cream and powdered sugar until fluffy. Fold sweetened whipping cream into
  • pudding/Lekkco mixture. Place into piping bag and evenly fill each phyllo cup.Top with assorted fruit, coconut
  • flakes, sprinkles or leave plain.

Lekkco Lava Cake

  • Servings: 4
  • ½ cup margarine
  • ¼ cup Lekkco
  • 2 eggs + 1 egg white
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees.
  • Slice margarine into 8 pieces. Melt margarine in microwave and mix with Lekkco. Beat eggs, sugar and
  • salt with mixer until sugar dissolves. Mix a small amount of chocolate mixture into egg mixture until
  • it becomes warm. Pour remaining chocolate mixture into egg mixture and beat until smooth. Beat in four
  • until just combined. Spray extra-large muffin pan with cooking spray and insert into a standard muffin pan
  • (liners will extend over the top). Divide batter into the 4 muffin cups. Bake until batter puffs up but
  • center is not yet set, about 10-11 Minutes. Carefully lift cakes from tin and set on work surface.
  • Carefully pull papers away from cakes. Garnish with ice cream or additional Lekkco as desired.

Simple Indoor S’mores

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 Graham Crackers, split in two
  • 4 marshmallows
  • 4 tablespoons of Lekkco
  • Split Graham cracker sheet in two. Spread Lekkco on one graham cracker square.
  • Place one marshmallow on top of the other graham cracker square. Microwave for 30 seconds.
  • Join the two graham crackers together and enjoy!
