Hot Cocoa Bombs

We had to hop in on the hottest trend of 2020 and create our own edition of Hot Chocolate Bombs. But what are Hot Cocoa Bombs? Balls of chocolate that you place in mug, and as your pour hot milk the chocolate melts and releases marshmallows and chocolate hiding inside. These were so much fun to make, and the possibilities are endless! Birthdays, Valentines Day, the Holidays! We haven’t found any at our local stores, thus we decided to make our own. You can too follow the instructions below!

  • 00 ⅔ c. Chocolate chips and/or candy melts for variation
  • 00 3 Tb. Lekkco
  • 00 Dozen Mini Marshmallows (vegan if you don’t want them to dissolve)
  • 00 Espresso Powder, optional
  • 00 Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl for 30 seconds, and stir. Repeat until melted.
  • 01 Spoon and spread the chocolate into a sphere shaped chocolate mold evenly and let set in the freezer for about 5 minutes.
  • 02 Gently pop the chocolate out of the molds and, on a hot surface, melt the edges of half of them down until just even. Take those same halves and fill with 1 tablespoon of Lekkco and a few marshmallows, and a teaspoon of espresso powder, if desired.
  • 03 Gently and carefully melt down the edges of the other halves to build up some excess chocolate on the edges and place evenly onto the filled halves. Place in the freezer for a minute or two then store in an airtight container, or serve and enjoy!
